Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is getting married today. The wedding is being organized at his official residence in Chandigarh. Everyone is excited about to know more about the bride. His future wife Dr. Gurpreet Kaur hails from Kurukshetra, Haryana. Her ancestral house is in Pehowa area. She studied in Ambala. Her first meeting with Bhagwant Mann was two years ago. Since Bhagwant Mann was busy in the Punjab elections, so the marriage of both was postponed for the time being. There was no discussion about her marriage, so she did not stay in the limelight.

Dr. Gurpreet’s father Inderjit Singh is an NRI and lives in Canada. Gurpreet’s mother’s name is Rajinder Kaur alias Raj. She is a housewife. Gurpreet has two elder sisters. One sister Navneet Kaur alias Neeru lives in America and the other’s name is Karmjeet alias Gaggu. She lives in Australia. Gurpreet is fondly called by people as Gopi.
First meeting four years ago
It is being told that Bhagwant Mann and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur have known each other for the last four years, although the marriage talks started two years ago. Family sources say that Gurpreet had also campaigned for Bhagwant Mann’s Sangrur Lok Sabha elections in 2019. When Mann became CM after the Punjab assembly elections, Gurpreet was also present at his swearing-in though she was so low profile that no one noticed her. Family sources say that Gurpreet Kaur knew Bhagwant Mann’s mother and sister. Both had approved the relationship.
Uncle is also a member of Aam Aadmi Party
Gurpreet’s uncle Gurjinder Singh Nat is a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He told that Gurpreet is currently working as a doctor. Nat told that there was talk of marriage in the family for about two years. He said that the family is happy with this relationship.
Gurpreet Kaur’s early education took place in Pehowa. She has studied up to class 10th in Tagore Public School here. After that she did 12th from Chandigarh. Then she studied at the Medical College of Maharishi Markandeshwar University (MMU) in Mulana. She enrolled in MBBS in 2013 and after doing MBBS in 2017 took a job in a hospital in Ambala.
Father has been sarpanch
Gurpreet’s native village is near Gumthala Gadhu. Father Inderjit Singh Nat has 42 acres of land in Nut Farm in Madanpur village of Pehowa. Inderjit Singh has also been the sarpanch of Madanpur village. His family lived at their home in Tilak Colony, Pehowa. For the past six months, the family has shifted to Mohali.
Family living in mohali
Gurjinder Singh said about a year ago, Inderjit’s family bought a house in Mohali and started living there. My brother has told me that Gurpreet is getting married to the CM of Punjab. Wedding preparations are going on in Mohali’s house itself. Both Gurpreet’s sisters have also come to Mohali from America and Australia.
