According to media reports, Rahul Bhatt’s wife Meenakshi said, “PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are making Kashmiri Pandits as scapegoats for their politics. I challenge them to come to Kashmir and roam without security. Kashmiri Pandits are being harassed and the whole country is silent.” She told that the situation in Kashmir is very bad. There is no security for Kashmiri Pandits.
Earlier, Kashmiri Pandits blocked the Jammu-Akhnoor old highway on Friday morning. During this, they raised slogans against PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Police took eight Kashmiri Pandits into custody. At the same time, four people were injured in the lathi charge of the police. During the protest, the police also fired tear gas shells to prevent the protesters from going towards the airport.
While commenting on the government, senior Shiv Sena leader and MP Sanjay Raut said that reciting Hanuman Chalisa and removing the loudspeaker will not solve the issues faced by the Kashmiri Pandits.
