Bihar Police has busted the suspected terrorist module. Three people associated with the extremist organization Popular Front of India (PFI) have also been arrested by the police. During the press conference organized to give information about this matter, Patna SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon compared RSS with PFI. He said, ‘Just as physical training is given in RSS shakhas, similarly physical training was being given in PFI too.’
The SSP said, “They used to mobilize youth from mosques & madrasas towards radicalization. Their modus operandi was to act like an RSS Shakha where lathi training is given…they would call them for physical training but also brainwash & radicalize them.”
At the same time, Patna SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon told that all of them were also working on an action plan to make India an Islamic nation. Many objectionable documents have been found from them.
After the statement, BJP got furious and demanded an apology from the Patna SSP. BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul said that this statement shows the mental bankruptcy of the SSP. He has demanded an apology from the SSP, else there would be government action.
At the same time, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Modi has also demanded the withdrawal of the statement from the SSP and an apology.
During the press conference, the SSP said, “We were following this organization for a long time. Apart from us, many other security agencies had inputs regarding these. We had also received many inputs regarding the visit of the Prime Minister, on the basis of which we conducted raids and arrested these people.” He said that our social media monitoring team was also keeping an eye on it.
SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon said that we came to know that between 6 and 7 July, 10 to 12 people have come here from Tamil Nadu and Kerala, who are being given physical training. On this basis we conducted raids in which these people were arrested. Many papers were also found there in which there was talk of making India an Islamic nation.
He told that an FIR has been registered in this regard at Phulwari police station. One of the accused’s brother was an active member of SIMI, which has been banned. He has also gone to jail. The SSP said that we have also received some such documents, in which many things were written against the sovereignty and integrity of India.
