‘Once upon a time..’: Prakash Raj takes a jibe sharing old tweets of Anupam Kher, Amitabh Bachchan, Vivek Agnihotri, Shilpa Shetty…

Prakash Raj is counted among the veteran actors in the cinema world, who are also in the discussion due to their statements. The actor has always been seen speaking openly on political issues and has now made a tweet on the depreciating rupee against the dollar. The rupee has reached its lowest level against the dollar and Prakash Raj has surrounded some Bollywood stars by tweeting on this issue. The actor has questioned Bollywood actors for keeping silence on the falling rupee.

Actually, some old tweets of stars like Anupam Kher, Vivek Agnihotri, Shilpa Shetty, Juhi Chawla are going viral on social media, which are from the year 2012-2013. When the UPA (Congress and allies) government was there. In these tweets, all the celebs of Bollywood used to mock the Dr. Manmohan Singh government because of the falling value of rupee against the dollar. In those days, Anupam Kher wrote in a tweet, “Everything is falling. The value of Rs and the cost of a human being. We belong to the country in which Ganga cries.”

Prakash Raj has shared screenshots of old tweets of all these stars, with which the actor has written taking a jibe at these stars, “Once upon a time…in my country..” Along with this, Prakash Raj has also given the hashtag ‘Just asking’.

Vivek Agnihotri had a tweet in the year 2012, in which he wrote, “May ur happiness increase like Petrol Price, May ur sorrow fall like Indian Rupee n May ur joy fill your heart like corruption in India.” At the same time, Juhi Chawla tweeted against the government on 21 August 2013 and wrote, “Thanks God. My underwear name is ‘Dollar’. Had the rupee been there, it would have kept falling again and again.” However, the actress has deleted her tweet.

Apart from these, Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his tweet, “T 1140 -New word added to English dictionary : RUPEED ( ru – pee – d ) , Verb MEANING : move downward, (cont).”

Actress Shilpa Shetty made a tweet on 20 August 2013. In which she took a jibe at then government on about falling rupee. Shilpa Shetty wrote in the tweet, “Funny piece I read. Dollar on an escalator.Rupee on a ventilator.nation in icu.V r in coma.Onion in showroom. God bless India.”
