‘Oh my God!!! Their knees are showing’: Priyanka Gandhi takes a dig at PM Modi and other BJP leaders over ‘ripped jeans’ remark

There has been an uproar over the remarks made recently by Tirath Singh Rawat, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, about the dress of girls and women. In the midst of the continuous attack of the opposition, now Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took a dig at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders over Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat’s ‘ripped jeans’ remarks.

Priyanka has shared pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nitin Gadkari, Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, in which they are all seen in the traditional costumes of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Priyanka Gandhi shared a collage of photos on Twitter. PM Narendra Modi, BJP leader Nitin Gadkari, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat are seen in these pictures of different times. They are all seen in white shirts, khaki colored half pants with black caps. Priyanka has shared the caption with the pictures- Oh my God! Their knees are visible.

Actually, Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat has created a furore over the statement of women wearing ripped jeans. He had commented on women wearing ‘ripped jeans’. During this, sharing his experience, he said that once he was going somewhere off the plane, he saw a woman wearing torn jeans, along with two children. The woman ran an NGO, while her husband was a professor at JNU. Rawat said what rites would such women give to their children.

After this, Chief Minister Rawat also gave a controversial statement on the clothes of girls on Thursday. While addressing an event, he shared an anecdote of his college time. He said that at that time a girl from Chandigarh came to college wearing a half-cut dress and the boys followed her. Rawat said, ‘You have come to study in the university and are showing your body, what will happen to this country.’
