IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad’s Twitter account got locked on Friday. However, after an hour it started again. But politics is still happening on this matter. On Saturday, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra took a jibe at Ravi Shankar Prasad on Twitter. Moitra said she felt sorry for Prasad as his account was blocked for an hour but what about internet access denied to lakhs of people in Jammu and Kashmir for months.
The Trinamool MP tweeted, “Oh ho ho Hon’ble IT Minister, Sir- so sorry your ac blocked for 1 hour. Internet access denied to lakhs of people in J&K for months on end. Karma is not enough of a b…(sic)”.
Mahua Moitra often takes a jibe at Prime Minister Modi to Union Ministers and BJP leaders. On Friday, on the anniversary of Emergency, PM Modi had said that the dark days of Emergency cannot be forgotten. On this too, Mahua tweeted taunting, “PM tweeted – the dark days of Emergency can never be forgotten. Yes sir, your government is reminding us of that every day.”
Twitter had reported that a tweet by Ravi Shankar Prasad had violated the company’s policy. Prasad’s Twitter account was locked under US law. There was also a case of copyright infringement. However, an hour later, Twitter restarted his account.
