The sessions court dismissed the petition filed for transfer in the defamation case of Javed Akhtar. In fact, Kangana had claimed in her petition that the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court was treating her discriminatory unilaterally.
Kangana had demanded transfer of the defamation case filed against her by famous lyricist Javed Akhtar. She had filed a petition seeking transfer of the case from the magistrate’s court in suburban Andheri. Which was rejected by the Sessions Court today. Let us tell you that Javed Akhtar had filed a complaint against Kangana in November 2022. The famous lyricist had filed a defamation complaint in an Andheri court alleging that the actress had made derogatory remarks against him in an interview that had hurt his reputation.
At the same time, Kangana had also filed a complaint against Javed Akhtar, accusing him of extortion and criminal intimidation. Not only this, the actress had also alleged that Javed Akhtar had threatened her sister Rangoli Chandel by calling her home. Which was rejected outright by the lyricist.
Kangana had lashed out at some Bollywood people in the interview after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Kangana accused Javed Akhtar of spreading nepotism and factionalism in Bollywood. Regarding which the lyricist had approached the court.
