‘No democracy without strong institutions, even Saddam, Gaddafi used to win elections’: Rahul Gandhi attacks PM Modi

Recently, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy had targeted Prime Minister Modi, taking the name of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and Libyan dictator Gaddafi. Now, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while talking to foreign students, has taunted PM Modi by taking the names of dictators Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi. During this period, Rahul Gandhi also made many serious allegations against the government led by Narendra Modi.

Addressing the students of Brown University of America, Rahul Gandhi said that the election is not to press the EVM machine just by going to the polling booths. Rather it is related to many things such as the constitutional institutions of the country are functioning properly, the judicial system is running smoothly and important issues are also being debated in the Parliament. Further Rahul Gandhi said that elections were held under the rule of Saddam Hussein and Colonel Gaddafi and they also won. But there was no constitutional body securing the vote of the people there.

Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi said that today the freedom of many independent institutions of the country is being taken away. He also said that people in power today do not have to influence the election. They are influencing the vote of the people by controlling the Narrative. Rahul Gandhi also said that today everyone knows that India head of Facebook is close to BJP.

Let us tell you that recently, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy wrote on Twitter that Narendra Modi should take initiative and remove his name from the stadium. At the same time, he had said that only Saddam and Gaddafi had named the stadium after their name while alive.

Swamy further said that Modi should therefore demand for himself that the name of Patel should be restored by removing his name from the stadium. He also said that many people of Gujarat have told him that there is anger among the people of the state that the stadium was named after Modi in place of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
