According to media reports, cases have been registered against Chopra at Bundi in Rajasthan and Bichhiwada police station in Dungarpur. The news channel producer and editor have also been made accused in the FIR. These cases were registered under sections 153, 295, 295 A, 120 B, 124 A, 67 of IPC for spreading religious hysteria through fake news.
Chopra did a debate show about the Jahangirpuri violence and the demolition of a 300-year-old temple in Rajasthan in his show ‘Desh Nahi Jhukne Denge’. In the show, he was seen describing the demolition of the temple in Rajasthan as a revenge for the Jahangirpuri violence. During this, he blamed the Congress government of Rajasthan. After this, the demand for the arrest of anchor Aman Chopra started on social media.
He says, “Is it such a big coincidence? Two days ago, a bulldozer was used on the premises of a mosque in Jahangirpuri and today three temples were demolished in Rajasthan’s Alwar. One temple was 300 years old. Was it to avenge Jahangirpuri?” Chopra repeatedly mentions broken idols in the show. And show their pictures that how they have been cutband displaced.
