Kanhaiya Lal murder case: A new twist has come in the case of murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal by two Muslim youths in Udaipur. The pictures were being shared on social media for the last few hours, now the Congress has directly linked the main accused in Kanhaiya Lal’s murder, Riyaz Attari, to the BJP leaders. Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera claimed in a press conference that Riyaz Attari had attended several programs of BJP’s strongman and former Home Minister Gulab Chandra Kataria in Rajasthan.
He said that on doing research, it was found that Irshad Chainwala, leader of minority cell of BJP had posted on Facebook on 30 November 2018 and called Riyaz a party worker. Lashing out at the central government, Pawan Khera also mentioned the Pulwama attack.
Congress spokesperson said that not only Irshad, there is another BJP leader Mohammad Tahir whose mobile is now switched off. Tahir’s posts dated 3 February 2018, 27 October 2019 and 10 August 2021, 28 August 2019 were studied. Reading a Facebook post of BJP leader Mohammad Tahir, Kheda said, “We did our research on those claims and found old Facebook posts of Rajasthan BJP leaders where Riyaz Attari was mentioned as ‘BJP karyakarta’.”
Kheda said, “It becomes clear from the Facebook post that the killer of Riyaz Attari Kanhaiya Lal is an active member of BJP. By the evening, we hope that this so called nationalist party will give an answer to this country.”
Kheda said that Tahir is telling Attari that he went to perform Umrah and prayed for the country. BJP worker Riyaz Attari attends programs of former Home Minister. Local BJP leaders are addressed as ‘Riyaz Bhai our BJP workers’. The Congress spokesperson did not stop there. He asked, “Where is Devender Singh, who was arrested for supporting and aiding militants?” Khera also said that there are questions on the Pulwama case as well since it remains a mystery how such a huge quantity of RDX escaped the eyes of the security agencies.”
Pawan Khera alleged “When the Centre ordered the NIA probe, we welcomed it. Our chief minister (Ashok Gehlot) assured assistance to the NIA. But now we are raising this question: Did the Centre order NIA probe hurriedly to hide these information about Riyaz Kattari,” Pawan Khera said
