Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s police bodyguard Jitendra Shinde, who was honored with the ‘Dada Saheb Phalke Award’, is in the media headlines these days for his salary. There were reports that his salary is Rs 1.5 crore annually. Soon this news spread like fire and now Jitendra has been transferred. A departmental inquiry has been started against Jitendra Shinde amid allegations of annual earning of 1.5 crores.
Head constable Jitendra Shinde has been shifted to South Mumbai’s DB Marg police station under regular transfer, an official said, news agency PTI reported. He said he was transferred 15 days ago and at that time it was officially published in a police notice. Jitendra Shinde is the head constable in Mumbai Police and has been Amitabh Bachchan’s bodyguard since 2015.

According to the Mumbai Police, a policeman cannot be posted at any place for more than 5 years. Apart from this, according to the rule, earning of a policeman from any other source is prohibited.
According to reports, Jitendra Shinde told the police officials that he has his own security agency through which he provides security guards to prominent celebrities. This security agency is in the name of his wife and she runs it.
According to a report in Times of India, an inquiry committee will be set up within the department regarding the earnings of Amitabh Bachchan’s bodyguard. An IPS officer said that the police do not have any concrete information yet. But on the basis of media reports, a show cause notice will be issued against Jitendra Shinde. So that they can get basic information in this matter.
The police is now investigating the matter from where Jitendra Shinde is earning. It is also being probed whether Shinde had informed the police officials about his annual salary and assets. Was he earning from any other source as well?
