MP Sunil Mandal who joined BJP last year, rejoins TMC; Says “I’m still a Trinamool MP”

Before the Bengal Assembly elections, MP Sunil Mandal, who left the Trinamool Congress and joined the BJP, has changed his side. Sunil Mandal clearly said that he is a TMC MP and will remain in TMC. He has never resigned from the party. Mandal despite formally joining BJP, he did not resign from the post of MP and is now calling himself TMC MP.

Let us inform that before the assembly elections, Sunil Mandal, MP from Burdwan seat, along with Suvendu Adhikari left TMC and joined BJP in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Sunil Mandal, MP from East Burdwan seat, is said to be very close to Mukul Roy. Recently, during Mamata Banerjee’s visit to Delhi, had secretly met Mukul Roy.

Now Sunil Mandal will be seen in Parliament with TMC MPs

Sunil Mandal told to a.TV channel that from now onwards he will work in Parliament with other Trinamool MPs. “I have not resigned from the Trinamool Congress. I was in TMC and will be in TMC. However, he did not told why he is leaving the BJP. He said that he is in TMC and will remain so. The district leadership is not trying to say anything about Sunil Mandal joining TMC. East Burdwan district Trinamool Congress spokesperson Prasenjit Das said, “Our party leader Mamata Banerjee and our All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee will decide who will be included in the party or not.”

Mandal is considered very close to Mukul Roy

Let us tell you that Sunil Mandal, MP from the East Burdwan seat of Bengal, is said to be close to Mukul. A few days ago, he had spoken against the BJP and said that the saffron party does not believe in him. On the party’s defeat in the Bengal assembly elections, Sunil Mandal had said that the election cannot be won by coming to Bengal by flying in a plane from Delhi. He also strongly criticized BJP MLA from Nandigram and Leader of Opposition in Bengal Assembly, Shuvendu Adhikari, saying that Shuvendu did not fulfill even one of the promises made to him. His distance with the BJP has also increased in recent times, though local dissatisfaction was expressed about his joining the TMC.
