MP Energy Minister’s bizarre statement on high fuel prices, asks people to ride bicycles

The public is troubled by the skyrocketing price of petrol and diesel, but in Madhya Pradesh, BJP’s Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s government, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar has made a bizarre statement on fuel price hike. He is explaining a different math regarding the rising prices of petrol and diesel.

In a conversation with the media, Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar said, “Do we ride a bicycle to a vegetable market? It’ll keep us healthy & keep pollution away…It is true that the prices are high but the money coming through this is being utilised for the poor man.”

Giving an example of himself, Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar said that if you want to see his diary of thirty days, how many days he has walked by car and how many days by bicycle. Tomar says that health is more important to us than petrol diesel. The minister, who was carrying a convoy of six vehicles, gave this advice to the general public to ride a bicycle in Indore.
