Mohammad Zubair’s bail plea rejected, sent to 14 days judicial custody

The Patiala House Court on Saturday rejected the bail plea of ​​Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair. Zubair has been ordered to be sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

According to reports, there will now be a detailed investigation into the allegation of taking foreign funding without registration.

Police have also searched the bank accounts of the company of Mohammad Zubair, arrested by the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operation (IFSO) unit of Delhi Police.

Delhi Police has added fresh charges of criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence in the FIR against the co-founder of fact checker website Alt News, Mohammad Zubair.

On Friday, the Delhi High Court issued notice to the Delhi Police in the Mohammad Zubair case. Delhi Police has been asked to file its reply within two weeks. In his week, Zubair will have to respond to the Delhi Police’s reply.

The next hearing of this case will be on July 27.

It is worth noting that the Delhi Police had arrested Zubair, the co-founder of the fact-checking website AltNews, on charges of hurting religious sentiments and promoting enmity.

Allegedly the co-founder of Alt News has been booked under sections 153 and 295A of the IPC.
