The Indian economy is at its worst during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure, according to a survey. According to the survey Modi govt has scored it’s worst ratings since it came to power. The findings are based on a survey conducted by IANS-C voter budget tracker.
Modi govt gets worst ratings
According to the survey, 46.4 per cent of respondents said that the performance of the economy during the Modi regime was worse than expected. 31.7 per cent said the activity was better than expected.
This is the first time since 2010 that a government has received such a poor score except 2013.
In 2013, when Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister and Chidambaram was the Finance Minister, the survey found that the economy was performing poorly. In 2013, 60 percent of people said the economy was doing badly.
In 2017, when Arun Jaitley was the finance minister, Modi’s economic rule received a good rating. But in 2019, 39.6 percent of people said the economy’s performance was worse than expected. In 2014, 29.4 per cent people said the Modi-led economy was performing worse than expected.
