Mehuli-Tushar wins gold: The mixed team of Mehuli Ghosh and Shahu Tushar Mane won the gold medal in the 10m air rifle event at the ISSF Shooting World Cup on Wednesday. This is India’s second gold medal in this World Cup. Earlier, Arjun Babuta won a gold medal in the singles of 10m Air Rifle. At the same time, the men’s trap team of Prithviraj Tondiaman, Vivaan Kapoor and Bhavneesh Mendiratta won the silver medal for India.
The men’s trap team lost to Slovakia 2–6 in the final. Palak and Shiva Narwal won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed event. Mehuli and Tushar defeated Angri’s Esjter Mesjaros and Istvan Penn 17-13 in the final. Israel and Czech Republic got the third and fourth place in the 10m air rifle.
Tushar’s first gold medal
Tushar Mane has won the gold medal for India for the first time at the senior level, while his partner Mehuli has won the gold medal for India for the second time. Earlier, she had won a gold medal at the 2019 South Asian Games in Kathmandu.
Palak-Shiva beat Kazakhstan pair
Indian pair of Palak and Siva beat Kazakhstan’s Irina Loktyanova and Valery Rakhmizan 16-0 in a one-sided match for the bronze medal in the mixed air pister event.
India reached second place
India has so far won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal in the ongoing ISSF Shooting World Cup in Changwon, South Korea. With this, it has reached the second place in the medal tally after Serbia (three gold). China is also joint second with India, winning two gold, one silver and one bronze.
