Shiv Sena MP and senior leader Sanjay Raut has taken a jibe at BJP’s massive victory in 4 states including Uttar Pradesh. He said that Uttar Pradesh was their (BJP) state, yet Akhilesh Yadav’s seats have increased there. Raut further said that BSP supremo Mayawati and Owaisi contributed to the victory of BJP. They should be given Padma Vibhushan and Bharat Ratna. He said that we are happy, we keep winning and losing in elections. We are also included in your happiness.
Sanjay Raut also said, “BJP has won in 4 states, we don’t have anything to be upset about, we’re a part of your happiness. Why did Uttarakhand CM lose? Two Deputy CMs lost in Goa.”
Taking a dig at BJP, Raut “Most concerning issue is Punjab; a nationalist party like BJP has been rejected completely in Punjab. The PM, Home Minister, Defence Minister, everyone campaigned tremendously in Punjab, then why did you lose in Punjab? UP, Uttarakhand, Goa was yours already, which is fine. But, you have lost more in Punjab as compared to Congress and Shiv Sena in UP”.
Shiv Sena fielded candidates on 37 seats in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. For their victory, Shiv Sena put a lot of emphasis on it. To promote candidates, many leaders including Shiv Sena’s youth leader and Thackeray family’s Aditya Thackeray, Shiv Sena’s chief spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut, cabinet minister Eknath Shinde to MP Vinayak Raut, Anil Desai, Arvind Sawant campaigned, but In all these seats, the party candidate’s security was deposited.
