The country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, today finally introduced its much-awaited Maruti Grand Vitara SUV, marking the company’s entry into the mid-size SUV segment. This new SUV will be sold from the company’s premium Nexa showroom.
The company claims that this will be the country’s highest mileage SUV. Apart from this, the company is also including many such advanced features in this SUV, which till now was not seen in any model of Maruti Suzuki. Its booking has already been started, which can be booked through the company’s official website and dealership by paying a booking amount of Rs 11,000.
Maruti Suzuki, however, says that the new Grand Vitara’s design philosophy rests primarily on three pillars, namely Nexapression, i.e. artistic look of the exteriors and interiors, and NeXTec – modern technology and technology for the new generation of customers. The third is NEXperience – that is, the state-of-the-art driving experience like the premium vehicles of NEXA. With its bold SUV stance, muscular wheel arches, sweeping shoulders, R17 precision cut alloy wheels and Nexa’s signature design elements, the Grand Vitara offers a distinct road presence.
The NEXWave grille with rich high-gloss black and dark chrome accentuations, the signature elements of the unique NEXTre – 3 element LED DRLs with integrated turn-lamps at the front and 3-element sweeping LED tail lamps add to the looks of the SUV. . The SUV is offered in a total of 2 trims – the Progressive Smart Hybrid, which comes with a rich chrome finish front grille garnish, and the Intelligent Electric Hybrid, which gets a dark chrome finish.
How is the interior of the SUV:
On the interiors of the Maruti Grand Vitara SUV, the instrument panel gets champagne gold accents with bold sweeping elements and rich black faux leather upholstery and Bordeaux faux leather with matching stitch patterns in the Intelligent Electric Hybrid trim and high luminant silver accents in the Smart Hybrid trim . On the other hand, the rich faux leather, piano black finish with matching accents on the doors offers a pleasant cabin feel. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Hybrid is available in two powertrain options, a 1.5-litre hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5-litre Dual VVT petrol engine. Transmissions include an e-CVT for the Intelligent Electric Hybrid trim and a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters or a 5-speed manual in the Progressive Smart Hybrid trim. The company claims that it gives the best mileage in the segment, its VVT petrol engine is capable of giving a mileage of 21.11 km and the hybrid variant 27.97 kmpl.
