According to reports, Maruti Suzuki may introduce its Maruti Swift CNG in the festive season of Diwali and may launch it in the month of December at the end of the year.

Maruti Swift is currently present in the market with four trims which are LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. According to the report, the company will offer CNG option along with its VXi and ZXi variants.

According to reports, many Maruti Suzuki dealerships have started taking pre-bookings of Maruti Swift CNG unofficially, but the company has not yet made any official announcement regarding the price or other things from the launch of this car.

The company is going to launch Maruti Swift not only in CNG version but also its engine and features will be updated. After the engine update and CNG variant, the mileage of this car is being estimated to increase more than before.

According to reports, once the CNG kit is installed in the Maruti Swift, its mileage will be at par with the recently launched Maruti Celerio. According to the company’s claim, the Maruti Celerio is the highest mileage car in the petro and CNG fuel variants.

Maruti Celerio gives mileage of 26 kmpl on petrol and 35.6 kmpl on CNG. If the company updates the engine of Maruti Swift like Celerio, then its mileage can also be equal to or more than Maruti Celerio.

The current mileage of Maruti Swift on petrol is 23.20 kmpl which has been certified by ARAI. After the engine update, this mileage can increase to 25 kmpl on petrol and 35 kmpl on CNG.

Talking about the price of Maruti Swift CNG, in the two variants with which the company is going to offer the option of CNG, the starting price of VXi variant is Rs 6.82 lakh and the starting price of ZXi manual is Rs 7.50 lakh.

After giving the option of CNG variants, the company can launch both these variants in the market with an increased price of Rs 1 lakh, in which the starting price of VXi can be Rs 7.82 lakh and the starting price of ZXi can be up to Rs 8.50 lakh.
