Manoj Muntashir requests fans not to boycott ‘Vikram Vedha’ as he is lyricist, dialogue writer of the film!

Amidst the boycott trend of Bollywood films, there is also a demand to boycott Hrithik Roshan’s and Saif Ali Khan’s film ‘Vikram Vedha’. Lyricist Manoj Muntashir who has created a huge fan base in right-wing Hindutva ecosystem made a tweet requesting his fans to watch ‘Vikram Vedha’ as he is the lyricist and writer of the film.

Actually, while sharing the teaser of the film, Muntashir wrote, “Friends, Namaskar! I have written all the lyrics and dialogues of Vikram Vedha. Inspired by the ancient plot of Betaal Pachisi, the film has been highly successful and respected in its Tamil format. This original Indian story reached my Hindi audience as well. That’s my goal.”

It didn’t take long for netizens to remind him about his glaring hypocrisy. Many also mocked Muntashir for his ignorance.

Congress leader Jyotsna Charan Das Mahant has made a taunting tweet about Manoj Muntashir on this tweet. She wrote, “IT cell is boycotting Vikram Vedha because Taimur’s father is Saif Ali Khan in the film. Manoj Muntashir is appealing not to do as he has written the songs. There will be fire.”
