Amidst the political crisis in Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray resigned from the post of Chief Minister late on Wednesday night on Facebook Live. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari had directed Thackeray to conduct a floor test on June 30. Shiv Sena challenged this order of the Governor in the Supreme Court. But the court did not give any relief. After this, Thackeray resigned from the post of CM on Wednesday. At the same time, today a meeting of BJP Core Committee is being held at the residence of BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis.

Devendra Fadnavis will talk to the media today after stake claim to form the government. The swearing-in will be held at 7 pm in which Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the CM. Eknath Shinde will also take oath along with Fadnavis. The expansion of the cabinet will take place in the second phase. Fadnavis will form the cabinet after taking consensus and consensus from everyone so that no one gets angry later. After proving majority in the assembly session, the cabinet will be expanded.
