Maharashtra Minister Yashomati Thakur slams Anupam Kher, targets his 2010 tweet on petrol price hike

Yashomati Thakur, a member of Maharashtra’s Uddhav Thackeray cabinet, has attacked Anupam Kher on the pretext of his 2010 tweet on the petrol, diesel price hike during the congress government. Anupam Kher wrote in one of his tweets from 2010, “My driver Sabir said that he will not come on duty. I asked him the reason and his reply was, “Sir rising inflation is not affecting this government but it is affecting me.” True.”

Taking advantage of the current situation in the country where petrol and diesel prices have crossed the Rs 100 mark, Congress minister Yashomati Thakur wrote on her Twitter handle, “I am still concerned about Anupam Kher’s driver Sabir.”

This is not the first time that the Congress party has targeted Bollywood stars over the hike in petrol and diesel prices. Earlier, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole also slammed megastar Amitabh Bachchan and other Bollywood celebrities for being silent on the hike in petrol and diesel prices.

Not only this, Patole had also warned the stars that their films would be banned in the state if they did not speak on the crisis. But no action was taken after that.
