Lalit Modi shares romantic pictures with Sushmita Sen, calls her ‘better half’; clarifies saying ‘just dating’

Former IPL chairman Lalit Modi took to Twitter to announce his marriage to former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. In his tweet, he described Sushmita as his better half. This started the discussion that both of them got married in Maldives. But, immediately came the clarification from Modi’s side that they are dating each other now. Will get married soon.

Lalit posted several photos with Sushmita with the caption, “Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families – not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon.”

In another tweet, Lalit Modi clarified that he and Sushmita Sen aren’t married yet. He wrote, “Just for clarity. Not married – just dating each other. That too it will happen one day.”

Recently, Sushmita Sen came into the limelight by commenting on marriage. Sushmita has been in many relationships, but was not yet tied in marriage. On not getting married, now she has said that she was very close to getting married 3 times but God saved her. Sushmita is 47 years old.

Sushmita dated Rohman for two and a half years
Sushmita Sen has dated Rohman Shawl for two and a half years. The age difference between Rohman and Sushmita is 15 years. Sushmita Sen was 46 years old. At the same time, Rohman was 30 years old. Both were in a live-in relationship. Rohman also has great bonding with Sushmita’s two daughters Renee and Alisha, who have been calling himself the father of both.

Controversial life of Lalit Modi, fled the country 12 years ago
Lalit Modi was the man who started the IPL. He was the Vice President of BCCI from 2005 to 2010. He was the chairman and commissioner of IPL from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, Lalit Modi was suspended from the post of IPL commissioner on charges of rigging. Apart from this, he was also suspended from BCCI. Lalit Modi fled the country in 2010 following allegations in a money laundering case.

While starting the IPL, Lalit Modi had given stake in IPL to many members of his family. Along with this, he did many more such works so that his family and friends could get maximum benefit. In the year 2008, as soon as the IPL came, he became a superhit and for this Lalit garnered a lot of praise. Due to IPL, along with the audience, the players and BCCI also started benefiting. After this Lalit started working on the idea of Champions League, however it proved to be a flop.

After some time, information about IPL and Lalit’s personal interest started coming in front of everyone and he was removed from the post of Vice President of BCCI after the 2010 IPL final. According to reports, the BCCI made 22 allegations against Lalit Modi, which included many allegations like giving contract to his family, using IPL broadcasting for his own benefit, rigging the auction.

Born in Delhi’s big business family, Lalit Modi completed his engineering studies from the US, after which he returned to India. After coming to India, Lalit saw that there is a great passion for cricket in India. Taking inspiration from American sports, Lalit thought of starting IPL in India. After making Himachal, Rajasthan and Punjab Cricket Association members, Lalit Modi started working on the plan of IPL in association with BCCI.

Married to mother’s friend
Lalit had fallen in love with his mother’s friend Meenal while studying abroad. Meenal was 9 years older than Lalit, but despite this, the closeness between Modi and Minal started growing. Minal was getting married to Nigerian businessman Jack Sagarani. Just before that, Lalit expressed his love for Meenal, which made Meenal angry. He stopped talking to Modi for four years.

Minal’s marriage to Sagarani did not last long and soon both of them got divorced. This divorce brought Lalit and Meenal closer. Lalit’s family was against this relationship, but Lalit did not agree and he married Meenal on 17 October 1991.
