It has been three months since the farmers’ agitation started in Delhi. In the agitation, some media outlets were directly banned as Godi media. Rakshit Singh had a salary of Rs 1 lakh a month, but he announced his resignation from the stage of Kisan Mahapanchayat as he was being stopped from showing the truth. Former journalist and filmmaker Vinod Kapri tweeted about Rakshit. He tweeted “ABP news reporter Rakshit Singh’s father died 10 years ago. Rakshit is the only earning member of the household with an annual package of 12 lakhs. But Rakshit resented the coverage and resigned at the Kisan Mahapanchayat. Wish the editors / anchors like Rakshit would also be there.”
The farmers’ movement is now getting a lot of support from all over the country. Some reporters were accusing their news outlets of being pressured to cover specific issues while covering the farmers’ agitation, but now the allegation has been sealed by Rakshit Singh’s resignation.
