‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ becomes highest grosser at the International Box Office, surpasses ‘The Kashmir Files’

Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ got mixed response in India and did not earn well at the box office but the film has broken many records at the international box office. According to Bollywood Hungama, the Hindi remake of Forrest Gump is now the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022 in international markets. The film has left behind hits like ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ and ‘The Kashmir Files’.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ earned $ 7.5 million i.e. Rs 59 crore in a week of release. The film has left behind ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ ($7.47 million), ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ ($5.88 million) and ‘The Kashmir Files’ ($5.7 million). All three films were superhit in India. However, the Telugu film ‘RRR’ earned $ 20 million at the international box office.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has earned more than 55 crores at the Indian box office. Rs 180 crore was reportedly spent in making the film. The production of the film started before the corona pandemic. The film was in the making for almost three years. During this, the shooting of films had to be stopped and started many times.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was released in theaters on August 11. The film got the benefit of a long holiday from Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day. The worldwide gross of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has now gone up to Rs 126 crore. The film can still earn more, provided it is released at the box office in China. But it depends on whether they get a chance to release in China or not.

‘Dangal’ and ‘Secret Superstar’ were super hit in China
Aamir Khan’s films ‘Secret Superstar’ and ‘Dangal’ earned a lot in China. Since then Aamir’s popularity has increased a lot in China. However, his film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, which came in 2018, was also a flop in China.
