Asaduddin Owaisi reacts to honour killing incident in Hyderabad: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has reacted to the honor killing case in Hyderabad. He condemned the incident and said that it is the worst crime according to Islam. The woman had married of her own free will. A woman’s brother has no right to kill her husband.
In a statement, the AIMIM chief said, “We condemn the (honour killing) incident that took place in Saroornagar. The woman willingly decided to get married. Her brother doesn’t have any right to kill her husband. It’s a criminal act as per constitution &the worst crime as per Islam: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi (06.05)”
He further said, “This incident is being given another colour since yesterday. Didn’t the Police here arrest the accused immediately? They have arrested him. We do not stand with the murderers.”
Nagaraju and Sulthana, a 25-year-old car salesman, went against their family’s wishes and got married on January 31. They knew each other since school time. Sultana said that her family always threatened her about her relationship.
“Always intimidated. I had asked Raju to marry someone else as there was a problem in our marriage. But he said that we will live together and die together. Even if we have to go far away after marriage. He said that I am ready to die for you. Today my husband really died because of me”, said Ashrin Sulthana.
