The most recent guests on season seven of Koffee With Karan on Thursday were actors Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Aamir and Kareena appeared together on the fifth episode of the show, which was dedicated to promoting their new film, Laal Singh Chaddha. The highlights, though, were when Aamir teased Karan Johar, or rather roasted him.
At the beginning of the episode itself, Aamir Khan called out Karan Johar on all the false assumptions he has made about him. Aamir explained that KJo had got it wrong about both him and Kareena Kapoor. The filmmaker had said that Aamir’s films like Lagaan and Rang De Basanti changed the flavour of Hindi cinema, and that Kareena has no interest in how her films do at the box office.
In the show Aamir Khan said that how he feels that every time Karan does the show, someone is insulted or someone ends up crying or someone’s heart aches.
Moreover, Aamir Khan also took a jibe at Karan Johar’s biased attitude towards Janhvi Kapoor which led to backlash online. Aamir Khan said that he was ‘quite partial’ to which Karan replied ‘rubbish!’. Aamir continued his trolling as he said that anybody who comes on the show gets insulted, heartbroken or upset.
To this, Karan responded with a remark that felt a lot like a dig at Kangana Ranaut. He said, “I thought I had one major troll in my life, there is another one who has joined that party”. This obviously had both Kareena and Aamir laughing and us too. Amid all of that, Aamir did add that he does, however, like Karan’s sense of humour.
Now it has to be seen how Kangana responds to this statement of Karan.
