Film actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel have been summoned by the Mumbai Police once again and asked to cooperate in the investigation. They are accused of creating communal tension by making objectionable comments on social media.
The Mumbai Police has summoned these two for the third time. They were first called on 26–27 October, then asked to appear before the police on 9–10 November. But they did not go on both these occasions.
Kangana Ranaut had said that she is busy with a wedding in the family and they will have time after 15 November.
What is the matter?
An FIR was registered against him after getting an order from a magistrate court in Mumbai.
A casting director had complained to the police that Kangna was not only defaming the film industry by tweeting, but was also ‘communal dividing’.
Casting director Sahil Ashraf Ali Syed had also demanded in the petition filed in the court that a case should be registered against Kangana and her sister under the sections of ‘promoting enmity’ and ‘sedition’.

He had said in the petition that Kangana described the Bollywood industry as a place of nepotism, drug addicts and communally biased people. The petition said that Kangana’s sister had also made such comments on social media, which increased communal tension between people of two religions.

Earlier, the film actress had tweeted that Mumbai was called ‘Pakistan-occupied Kashmir’ and Maharashtra as ‘Pakistan’. There was strong opposition to this.
