Jamia Shooter Rambhakt Gopal’s multiple videos of gun pointed at Muslim children, women goes viral

Rambhakt Gopal, the shooter who had fired at the anti-CAA protestors near Jamia Millia Islamia in 2020, has created another controversy after an inflammatory video went viral from his Instagram account. Rambhakt Gopal is out on bail. He has made his Twitter account private after several social media users shared his terrorising videos and called for strict action against him.

Gopal was granted bail by a Haryana court last year after he was arrested for making communal speeches against the Muslim community during a ‘mahapanchayat’ in Pataudi.

In videos that surfaced on Twitter, originally shared on his Instagram, a gun is seen being pointed at people, mostly women and children as the vehicle passes by houses on the streets. People run indoors, shutting their doors behind them as they fear for their lives. The caption is “Gau Raksha Dal, Mewat Road.”

Another video shows a group of boys wielding pistols and dragging a youth into the back seat of an SUV while he lies on the ground and struggles to free himself. These boys grabbed his arms and legs and lifted him to dump in the back seat. The video was purportedly posted with the caption “cow smuggler taking away.”

Both the videos have slick editing and background music along with hundreds of supportive comments.

After making his Instagram account private following heavy social media criticism, Rambhakt Gopal has taken to Twitter to respond to those demanding action against him.

Gopal regularly makes controversial communal remarks at different ‘Hindu Mahapanchayats’ in Haryana. He made headlines last year for leading a huge crowd at a ‘mahapanchayat’ in Haryana’s Pataudi, where hateful and communal slogans were allegedly raised. He was arrested in this case and later a Haryana court granted him bail.
