Another controversial video of Mahant Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati of Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, adjacent to the country’s capital Delhi, has surfaced, which is becoming very viral on social media. In the viral media, he is making objectionable remarks against National Commission for Women President Rekha Sharma. Yati Narsinghanand is claiming that no one has fought for the honor of women more than him. Let us tell you that before this, recently another video of him went viral, in which he had said bad things about the women leaders of BJP.
After the video of the boy beating in the Dasna temple went viral, Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati, who came into the limelight for his statements, is now going viral, in which he is seen giving an interview. He says in response to a question,
‘I don’t understand whether it is Rekha Sharma or a woman activist, is she born eating cow dung? She has intelligence or not. She is a BJP woman and a nationalist. She should put her hand on her heart and tell that I have lied. She should watch the full video, tell me one word that I have lied. What will she get by filing a complain against me, let’s hang me. But my sister, I told the truth or lied.”
He further said, “Rekha Sharma should have heard the whole video that I have said that thing in some context. Edited my video and declared me anti-women. The chairmen of the Women’s Commission should think that I am fighting for the honor of women or insulting them. If someone has fought more than me for the honor of women, show it.”
Earlier, in the video of Yati that surfaced, objectionable things were said about women leaders. While making derogatory remarks towards women, he says that so many women are roaming in politics these days, they are enjoying it. He said that nowadays the price of government contracts has gone up to 10 percent. Narsinghanand Saraswati claimed that all the women leaders you see in BJP… if she compromises with one politician, the other politician will not do their work unless she compromises with him as well. If she wants to get some work done from a third politician, she has to compromise there as well. This is politics. The country has reached to this point. The women roaming in political arenas, everyone is enjoying.”
After this video surfaced, many people including BJP leaders demanded action against Yati. Many people including BJP leaders also tagged National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma on Twitter and demanded that strict action should be taken against Yati.
The Uttar Pradesh police have reportedly lodged three FIRs against Dasna Devi temple priest Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati for making derogatory remarks against Hindu women and female politicians.
