IPL 2022, RCB vs LSG: In the 31st match of the Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022), Royal Challengers Banglore(RCB) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 18 runs. Lucknow won the toss and elected to bowl first at DY Patil Ground in Mumbai. Batting first, Bangalore team scored 181 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Lucknow team could only manage 163 runs for 6 wickets. With this win, Bangalore team has moved to second place in the points table.

Lucknow did not start well. The first blow to the team was given by Josh Hazlewood in the third over by dismissing Quinton de Kock. In the fifth over, Hazlewood sent Manish Pandey to the pavilion. Two wickets fell in the powerplay and 44 runs were scored. The team’s score reached 50 in the seventh over. In the eighth over, Harshal Patel sent KL Rahul to the pavilion. In the 13th over, Mohammad Siraj sent Deepak Hooda to the pavilion. Glenn Maxwell sent Krunal Pandya to the pavilion in the 14th over. Ayush Badoni was dismissed in the 17th over. In the 19th over, Josh Hazlewood sent Marcus Stoinis to the pavilion. Jason Holder got out in the last over.

Earlier Captain Faf du Plessis scored a half-century for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He played an innings of 96 runs. The team didn’t start well. The team suffered two blows in the very first over. Dushmantha Chameera sent Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli to the pavilion in successive deliveries. In the sixth over, Glenn Maxwell was sent to the pavilion by Krunal Pandya. In the eighth over, the team got the fourth. Jason Holder sent Suyash Prabhudesai to the pavilion. The team got the 5th blow in the 16th over. Shahbaz Ahmed is run out. Du Plessis was dismissed by Jason Holder in 20 overs. Both the teams did not make any changes in the playing 11
