IPL 2022: Ravindra Jadeja quits CSK captaincy, MS Dhoni to take charge again

Ravindra Jadeja quit the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings in the middle of IPL 2022. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has returned as the captain again. CSK could manage to win only two matches under Jadeja’s captaincy.

Ravindra Jadeja quits CSK captaincy

Ravindra Jadeja decided to quit the captaincy of the CSK team in the middle of IPL 2022. Now Mahendra Singh Dhoni will again take charge of CSK. Dhoni had resigned from the captaincy of CSK just before IPL 2022. Jadeja was made the captain in his place, but under the captaincy of Jadeja, the team could not show any miracle. The team is struggling to make it to the playoffs.

Chennai Super Kings official Twitter handle announced the news. “Jadeja to handover CSK captaincy back to MS Dhoni:Ravindra Jadeja has decided to relinquish captaincy to focus and concentrate more on his game & has requested MS Dhoni to lead CSK. MS Dhoni has accepted to lead CSK in the larger interest & to allow Jadeja to focus on his game”, tweeted CSK.

CSK’s poor performance in IPL 2022

Mumbai Indians are battling very bad form in IPL 2022. In IPL 2022, Chennai Super Kings has won only 6 out of 8 matches. The team did not perform in unison.
