IPL 2022, CSK vs MI: Former Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni was among the thick of the action again, as he played a crucial match-winning knock of 28* off 13 balls to help CSK beat Mumbai Indians by 3 wickets in a thrilling game at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Thursday.

With Super Kings needing 16 off the last four balls, Dhoni went 6,4,2,4 andĀ aced his match-upĀ against Jaydev Unadkat once again.

Mumbai Indians faced their seventh consecutive defeat in this season. Batting first, Mumbai set a target of 156 runs in front of Chennai with the help of Tilak Verma’s unbeaten half-century. In reply, Chennai Super Kings scored 156 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Chennai won this match by three wickets.

Chennai Super Kings got off to a bad start. But there was a crucial 50-run partnership between Uthappa and Rayudu for the third wicket. Gaikwad got out without opening the account. Santner scored 11 runs. Uthappa returned to the pavilion after scoring 30 runs.
