IND vs PAK Asia Cup Highlights: In their first match of the Asia Cup 2022, the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by 5 wickets. Batting first, Pakistan team could only score 147 runs in 19.5 overs. Chasing the target of 148 runs, India achieved this target in 19.4 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja scored the most runs for India.
The Indian team lost its wicket in the first over in the form of KL Rahul. After that, there was a 46-ball 49-run partnership for the second wicket between Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma. Virat got out after scoring 35 and Rohit 12. Suryakumar shared a 31-ball 36-run partnership with Jadeja for the fourth wicket. Suryakumar was bowled after scoring 18 runs.
After this, Jadeja along with Hardik took India closer to victory. The duo shared a 52-run partnership in 29 balls for the fifth wicket. Jadeja was bowled after scoring 35 runs in the last over. But Hardik gave India a memorable victory by hitting a six.
Earlier, on the basis of the brilliant bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya, India dismissed Pakistan for 147 runs in the much-discussed match of the Asia Cup T20 cricket tournament on Sunday. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl, which was proved right by the bowlers led by Bhuvneshwar and Hardik. Bhuvneshwar took four wickets for 26 runs in four overs which included the prized wicket of Pakistani captain Babar Azam (10).
At the same time, Hardik took three wickets for 25 runs in four overs and broke the back of the Pakistani middle order. Young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh took two wickets for 33 runs. This was Arshdeep’s first experience of playing in an India-Pakistan match. All ten wickets for India were taken by the fast bowlers.
