“Incorrect”: Rahul Dravid denies reports claiming he was to participate in BJP event in Himachal Pradesh

Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid suddenly came into the limelight on Tuesday. Right now the IPL is going on and Team India has no match far and wide, in such a situation, Rahul Dravid was away from the headlines. But this time he came into the news not because of cricket but because of politics.

It was reported on media that Rahul Dravid is going to attend the event of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). As soon as this thing came to the fore, many kinds of speculations started being made. However, now Rahul Dravid himself has issued a statement on this.

Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid told news agency ANI, “A section of the media has reported that I will attend a meeting in Himachal Pradesh from May 12th-15th, 2022. I wish to clarify that the said report is incorrect.” In fact, it was claimed that Rahul Dravid would attend an event related to the Yuva Morcha of the Bharatiya Janata Party. However, this claim turned out to be false.

It is worth noting that Rahul Dravid, who is called the wall of Indian cricket, is counted among the best batsmen of all time. He is currently the head coach of the Indian cricket team, before that he was heading the National Cricket Academy.

Rumors of Rahul Dravid attending an event related to BJP came to the fore when the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sourav Ganguly, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah a few days ago. Amit Shah had dinner at Sourav Ganguly’s house during his Bengal tour.
