In support of farmers, Punjab scientist refuses award from Union Minister, says- My conscience is not allowing

The names of scientists are also being added to the list of those who support the farmers who are opposing the new agricultural laws of the Modi government. Punjab scientist Dr. Varinder Pal Singh, while supporting the farmer movement, refused to accept the National Award from the Minister of Modi Government.

Dr. Varinder Pal Singh, Principal Soil Chemist of Punjab Agriculture University, was to be awarded the Gold Medal and Gold Jubilee Award by the Union Minister of Chemical and Fertilizers for the best work done in the field of plant nutrition.

When he was called on stage for this, he refused to take it, supporting the farmers.

Varinder Pal Singh thanked the Director General of the Government and FAI for giving this award. Varinder Pal Singh said that when the farmers of the country are on the roads, my conscience is not allowing me to take this award.

He further said that I hope that we will work for the country together. Varinder Pal Singh advised the government that the government should also listen to the farmers.

Dr. Varinder Pal Singh said that I have always worked for the country and the farmers. In such a situation, if I take this award, I will consider myself guilty. I want that we should work unitedly for the farmers, so that the country can become stronger.

Dr. Varinder Pal Singh, who reached the dais, told the Minister of Chemical and Fertilizers that if PAU-LCC technology reaches the farmers, then in Punjab alone, savings of about Rs 750 crore can be done annually.

At the same time, billions of rupees can be saved across the country. Thank you for recognizing this technique.
