Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files continues to grow at the box office even 11 days after its release. The film has joined the club of 150 crores. Along with the audience, Bollywood celebs are also appreciating the film. Now excited by the film’s earnings, Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer Niyaz Khan tweeted and suggested to spend the earnings from the film on the education of children of Kashmiri Pandits.
He tweeted and wrote, “Income of Kashmir Files reached 150 crore. Great. People have given a lot of respect for Kashmiri Brahmins’ feelings. I would respect film producer to transfer all earnings to the Brahmin children’s education and construction of homes for them in Kashmir. It will be a great charity.”
At the same time, the film director replied to the tweet to the IAS officer and wrote, “Sir Niyaz Khaan Sahab, Bhopal aa raha hoon 25th ko (I’m coming to Bhopal on the 25th). Please give an appointment so we can meet and exchange ideas how we can help and how you can help with the royalty of your books and your power as an IAS officer.”
‘The Kashmir Files’ has been well received but a section is also opposing this film. Some people say that Vivek Agnihotri has distorted the facts in the film in such a way that an atmosphere of hatred towards Muslims is being created. However, Vivek Agnihotri had said that he has only shown the truth in the film and it is being dragged into controversies unnecessarily. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar in lead roles.
