‘I saved 185 lives during 26/11… but you never provide anything’: Ex-commando hits out at Anand Mahindra on Agnipath

There is uproar in the whole country regarding the Agnipath scheme, army aspirants as well as ex-servicemen have opposed the new scheme. The main question of the people is that what would he do after being in the army for four years? The government talked about recruiting Agniveers in different sectors.

Amid this, business tycoon Anand Mahindra has also announced to give jobs to Agniveers in his company. However, a former commando and 26/11 hero, had some questions when it came to Anand Mahindra’s statement.

Tagging Anand Mahindra on his Twitter handle, former commando Praveen Kumar Teotia, tweeted, “I’m still unemployed after 15 years of Service. Even I saved 185 lives in Taj including @gautam_adani during 26/11. What job are you going to provide me in your Group.
@anandmahindra. Many like me still unemployed after 15 years of Service but you never provide anything to them.”

Earlier, Anand Mahindra had said that “Large potential for employment of Agniveers in the Corporate Sector. With leadership, teamwork & physical training, agniveers provide market-ready professional solutions to industry, covering the full spectrum from operations to administration & supply chain management.”

Praveen Kumar Teotia said in another tweet, “Now everyone will watch silently as an open audience. No one will get any answer. Everyone will calm down and become a spectator as usual. Because @anandmahindra @gautam_adani @narendramodi no one has answer to my questions. The country will not be able to return even 1% of what I have done for the country.”

Supporting Teotia’s tweets, defence Journalist Aman Singh wrote, “The fact is that no one ever paid attention to the plight of such officers Diya, who after being released from service has to do all kinds of jobs to earn a living.”

Let us tell you that when the Taj Hotel in Mumbai was attacked on 26 November 2008, Marine Commando Praveen Kumar Tevatia, a resident of village Bhatauna, Bulandshahr, was also among those who fought the terrorists. He had been shot four times. After that he remained in the hospital for a long time. Praveen Kumar Teotia was awarded the Shaurya Chakra for Veer.
