A video of Indore, the country’s cleanest city for four consecutive years, has gone viral on social media. In this video, it is being claimed that the workers of Indore Municipal Corporation are leaving the vulnerable destitute elderly living on the pavement and roads in a car and leaving them on the Indore-Dewas highway. These elders were picked up from inside the city and made to sit in a lump.
NDTV has claimed in its report that the video is in the vicinity of Shipra. It is being told that videos of the incident may have been shot by locals. Which many people have shared online. It is seen in the video that some municipal employees are taking off an elderly weak woman and man from the car. On the viral video, the Congress party has targeted the government of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

It is seen in the viral video that a weak elderly woman is picked up and kept in a car. Looking at the woman, it seems that she is not able to stand up properly. The vehicle also has a mattress and some clothes for the winter. There is a movement in the video from behind, in which the person is telling how the municipal team brought homeless people in trucks and threw their belongings and left them on the highway.
Congress targets Shivraj Singh Chauhan
Congress spokesperson Narendra Saluja said, “In the name of cleanliness, the officers of the Indore Municipal Corporation left the elderly in the cold. Now, what should the poor officers do, they are acting according to the ideology of the BJP? As the BJP has left many of its elderly leaders like Advani, Joshiji, Yashwant Sinha.

Additional Commissioner of Indore Municipal Corporation Abhay Rajgaonkar has claimed that the Municipal Corporation workers were actually taking homeless people to Ran Basera (Shelter Home). He has denied the claims made in the viral video.
CM Shivraj ordered inquiry
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has ordered action against the municipal employees seen in the video. Along with this, CM Shivraj has directed to suspend the Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Pratap Solanki with immediate effect. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to sack the other two employees.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “Today I came to know about the inhuman treatment of the elderly by the municipal employees in Indore. Two employees including the Deputy Commissioner, (who is) have been suspended. Instructions have been given to take proper care. ”
