Himanta Biswa Sarma gets trolled as ‘copy paste CM’; Here is why?

A video featuring the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, is rapidly gaining popularity on social media. The clip shows him jotting something down in a school’s visitor book by looking through a notebook. Unfortunately, the video has become a source of mockery for the CM, with several netizens sharing it on social media to troll him.

Himanta Biswa Sarma has taken to Twitter to respond to the trolls who criticized him for copying from a notebook while writing in a school’s visitor book. The trolls had shared a video of the incident on Twitter, which was initially posted by a Twitter user named Roshan Rai. In his tweet, Rai had tweeted, “Presenting the CM of Assam who can’t even write a paragraph in a visitor’s book without copying.”

This issue concerns the Chief Minister’s visit to a government school, as depicted in the video. The video shows CM Himanta writing in the school’s visitor book in English and apparently copying from a notebook placed in front of him.

Responding to online criticism, the chief minister admitted that he was copying. Furthermore, he addressed the troll’s comment by revealing that he is not proficient in English and Hindi. Himanta Biswa Sarma candidly admitted that he struggles with these languages and has no hesitation in admitting it.

He wrote, “I went to an Assamese medium school and am trying my best to learn Hindi and English in my own humble way. I must admit that I do not know English and Hindi very well, and I have no hesitation in admitting it.”
