The Haryana unit of BJP on Thursday removed its IT cell in-charge Arun Yadav from the post over the issue of some controversial social media posts. It is learned that he had posted some tweets in the year 2017. Now there was a demand for action against him regarding this. Arun Yadav is the third BJP leader to be expelled from the party recently. Earlier, Nupur Sharma has been shown the way out of the party for supporting the Prophet and Naveen Jindal for supporting Nupur Sharma.
Along with Yadav, Haryana BJP was trolled on social media handles on Thursday. An online campaign was also launched demanding Yadav’s arrest. However, some supporters opposed it because the post on which Arun Yadav’s arrest is being demanded is 5 years old.
In a statement issued by BJP state president OP Dhankhar, it has been said that Arun Yadav is being removed from the post with immediate effect but he did not give any reason for this. Yadav’s tweet is from 2017 but has now gone viral on social media. Though no complaint has been filed against him so far, people are demanding his arrest online. #ArrestArunYadav was the top trend on Twitter on Thursday.
Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Nupur Sharma was suspended from the party for making objectionable remarks on Prophet Mohammad. At the same time, Naveen Kumar Jindal, media chief of Delhi State BJP, has been expelled from the party for 6 years for supporting Nupur Sharma.
