In the ‘Hunger Watch’ survey conducted under the Anna Suraksha Abhiyan (Gujarat), things related to Gujarat have been told. According to the survey, during the Corona period, food could not be produced in 20.6 percent of the households in Gujarat due to lack of food grains. At the same time, a single time stove could not burn in 21.8% of the households. Not only that, five months after the end of the Covid lockdown, the hunger situation was quite severe. The income of a large number of households (62 per cent) declined. Cereals (53 per cent), pulses (64 per cent), vegetables (73 per cent) and eggs / non-vegetarian items (71 per cent), decreased the quantity of nutritional quality (71 per cent). Apart from this, the need to borrow money to buy food has increased by 45 percent households.
To know the above, the survey was conducted by Anna Suraksha Abhiyan (Gujarat) in 9 districts including Ahmedabad, Anand, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Dahod, Morbi, Narmada, Panchmahal and Vadodara.
