Gujarat govt includes Bhagavad Gita: Shrimad Bhagwat Gita will be taught to the students of class 6th to 12th in the schools of Gujarat. Gujarat Education Minister Jitu Vaghani announced this in the assembly. The government has announced this under the new education policy.

The teaching of Gita in Gujarat schools will start from the 2022-23 session. Indian culture and knowledge system will be included in school education. In the first phase, the values ​​and principles of Bhagwat Gita will be introduced in the form of story and text in the textbooks of classes 6-12. Various competitions and creative activities will also be organized in schools to promote Bhagwat Gita.

Education Minister Jitu Vaghani has tweeted about this. In his tweet, he wrote, “India’s gift to the world is the knowledge of Gita! In Gujarat, students of classes 6 to 12 will practice Gita knowledge along with other subjects. Gita in every house, reading in every house.”

Congress has raised questions regarding school education in Gujarat. In a tweet from the Congress, it has been said that, “According to the report of the government, there are 700 schools in Gujarat, where there is only one teacher to teach. In the last two years, 86 schools have been closed and 491 schools have been merged.”

This decision of the BJP government of Gujarat is also being linked to the elections. Elections are likely to be held in the state in November-December this year. The tenure of the present government will end in February next year.
