‘Goonjega toh Jai Shri Ram’: Kangana Ranaut rants on Twitter seeing Pathaan getting support from audience

Kangana Ranaut has caused a stir on Twitter after returning to the platform, posting a series of tweets in which she claims that despite Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Pathaan” being a success, the country will continue to chant “Jai Shri Ram.” She attributes the film’s success to “India’s love and inclusiveness.”

According to Kangana, the film directed by Siddharth Anand portrays Pakistan and ISIS in a positive light. She later corrected her statement and stated that it is actually ISI. She further added that it is the love and inclusiveness of India that makes it great and triumphs over hate and petty politics. She also mentioned in a following tweet that while Pathaan might be successful, the country will still chant “Jai Shri Ram”.

Kangana Ranaut stated that she believes Indian Muslims are patriotic and distinct from Afghan Pathans. She emphasized that India will never be like Afghanistan and that the name “Pathan” is fitting for the movie based on its storyline, which centers on the Indian Pathan. She also mentioned that the situation in Afghanistan is dire and beyond hell, hence the apt name of the movie is Indian Pathaan.

Kangana had previously expressed her frustration on Twitter about the film industry’s emphasis on financial success over the artistic integrity of filmmaking. She stated, “As artists, we should not speak or think like businessmen. We should maintain the purity of art and knowledge. Whatever money it brings is a result of people’s appreciation and anyone interested can find financial information on various business websites.”
