GoAir sacks senior pilot for offensive tweets on PM Modi

GoAir on Saturday sacked its senior pilot for making derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. The airline spokesperson said that GoAir has a policy of zero tolerance and it is necessary for all personnel to follow the company’s law and order. These include Internet media practices.

The airline is not affiliated with the personal opinion of any individual or employee. GoAir has terminated the Captain’s service with immediate effect. Taking cognizance of the case, the airline has distanced itself from the pilot’s tweet and action has been taken against the pilot.

Meanwhile, GoAir’s sacked pilot has apologized on Twitter. He wrote, ‘I apologize for my tweets against the Prime Minister and others, which have hurt anyone’s feelings. I also want to say that GoAir is not directly or indirectly associated with any of my tweets and the tweet has my personal views. I take full responsibility for this and accept the consequences for my mistake. ‘
