Wasim Rizvi converts: Former chairman of Shia Waqf Board, today embraced Hinduism from Islam. Wasim Rizvi accepted Hinduism at Dasna Devi Temple in Ghaziabad. On this occasion, in a conversation with the media persons, he said that this is not a religious conversion. When I have been expelled from Islam, it’s my choice which religion I choose.
Rizvi said that Sanatan Dharma is the biggest religion of the world. Islam is not a religion. Earlier this morning, Rizvi expressed his faith in Hindu Sanatan Dharma by offering milk to the Shivling in Dasna Devi temple. Rizvi had reached the Dasna Devi temple on Sunday night itself.
In the presence of Yati Narsinhanand Saraswati, Mahant of Dasna temple, at 10:30 in the morning, the pundits of the temple made him adopt Sanatan Dharma through Vedic chants and rituals. After conversion, Rizvi now joined the Tyagi community. The new name of Syed Wasim Rizvi will now be Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi. Now his gotra is Vatsa. Before the conversion, Rizvi had said that Narasimhanand Giri Maharaj would decide his new name.
After leaving Islam and becoming a Hindu, Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi (Wasim Rizvi) said, “There is no question of conversion here, I was thrown out of Islam, then it’s my choice which religion I choose. Every Friday, they announce more rewards for my head. Today I am accepting Sanatan Dharma.”
Wasim Rizvi recently made his will public. In which he had said that after his death he should be cremated according to Hindu customs. He also said that Yati Narsinghanand will be in charge of alighting his pyre.
