“Fixer ko sixer..chal daffa ho ja”: Harbhajan Singh, Mohammad Amir involved in ugly fight on Twitter

What started with some light-hearted digs escalated into an ugly row on social media between Indian spin great Harbhajan Singh and former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir. The duo sparred on Twitter late on Tuesday and in the early hours of Wednesday, just a couple of days after Pakistan’s win over India in their opening game of the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Team India had to face defeat against Pakistan for the first time in the history of the World Cup. After this victory, some former players of Pakistan are continuously commenting and they are not deterring from trolling Indian players. Three days after the end of the match, this trend continues unabated.

Former Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir dared to tussle with veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh on Twitter. On this, how Harbhajan Singh was going to stay behind. He gave a befitting reply to every attack of Aamir.

Mohammad Amir said on Twitter, “hello everyone  woh pochna yeah tha @harbhajan_singh paa ji ne TV to ni tora apna koi ni hota  hai end of the day its a game of cricket (Wanted to ask whether Harbhajan Singh has broken his TV, never mind at the end of the day it’s a game of cricket)”.

Responding to this, Harbhajan Singh said, “Ab Tum bi bologe @iamamirofficial yeh 6 ki landing tumhare ghar k tv par to nahi hui thi ??  Koi nahi hota hai end of the day it’s a game of cricket as u rightly said (Now you will ask if this six landed on your roof? Never mind, as you rightly said it’s a game of cricket).” Along with this tweet, he also shared a video of him hitting a six in the last over against Pakistan.

After Harbhajan’s counter-attack, Aamir shared a video of the Test match played between India and Pakistan where Shahid Afridi had hit Harbhajan for four consecutive sixes.

When Amir crossed the limit, Harbhajan did not hold back and he reminded Amir about the match-fixing case. He tweeted, “Lords mai no ball kaise ho gya tha ?? Kitna liya kisne diya ? Test cricket hai no ball kaise ho sakta hai ? Shame on u and ur other supporters for disgracing this beautiful game (What happened in Lords? Whose money was involved? How can you bowl a no ball in Test cricket?).”

The feud did not stop there as Amir went on to use derogatory language towards the Indian spinner. However, the Turbanator did not relent in his opinion of Amir.

In another tweet, the offspinner wrote, For people like you @iamamirofficial only Paisa paisa paisa paisa .. na izzat na kuch aur sirf paisa..bataoge nahi apne desh walo ko aur supporters ko k kitna mila tha .. get lost I feel yuk talking to people like you for insulting this game and making people fool with ur acts.”

Harbhajan fired back with the same video of him hitting the six in the last over to win the match for India. And simply tweeted, “Fixer ko sixer, chal daffa ho ja” along with the aforementioned video.
