Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri alleges ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ makers refused to promote his film ‘The Kashmir Files’

Political commentator and director of ‘The Kashmir Files’ Vivek Agnihotri has expressed his displeasure on Twitter and said that he will not promote his film on Kapil Sharma’s show. He has also given the reason behind it. He has told that the comedian has refused to invite the team of the film because there are no commercial big stars in the film.

Vivek made this post after a social media user tweeted saying that the film should be promoted on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. The user also wrote for Kapil Sharma – ‘Kapil Bhai, you have cooperated with everyone, please promote this film too.’

Replying to this user, Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, “I don’t get to decide who should be invited on @KapilSharmaK9 show. It’s his and his producers choice whom he wants to invite. As far as Bollywood is concerned, I’d say what once Mr. Bachchan was quoted saying about Gandhis: They are kings, we are the poor ones.”

At the same time, in another tweet, he wrote, “Even I am a fan. But it’s a fact that they refused to call us on their show because there is no big star. In Bollywood non-starter Directors, writers and Good actors are considered as NOBODIES.”

After these tweets, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ started trending on social media with a section of users calling for boycott.

Recently, Vivek Agnihotri shared a video on YouTube and used harsh words against the alleged Gangs in Bollywood. Vivek had expressed his displeasure over author, journalist and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s wife Anupama Chopra and said that she deliberately did not promote the film on her Youtube channel, where Bollywood films are promoted.

Vivek Agnihotri had tweeted about this and used the word ‘Shoorpanakha of Bollywood’ for Anupama Chopra and wrote while challenging, “If you have any guts, sabotage #TheKashmirFiles openly…Your only qualification is…you are married to a Producer who despite being a KP [Kashmiri Pandit], stabbed KPs in their back (sic).”
