BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy does not understand the stand of his party’s government on the issue of Afghanistan and China. He is openly criticizing the Modi government on this issue. Iran has criticized Pakistan’s intervention in Afghanistan’s Panjshir Valley, but India is silent. When a Twitter user questioned this, Subramanian Swamy said that in ‘Wait and Watch’ one does not have to use the brain. Swamy has also taken a dig at the Modi government for sharing the platform with China at the proposed BRICS 2021 summit on 9 September.
Narendra Modi will participate in the meeting of BRICS countries. Ahead of the conference, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that talks with China are a high priority. To this, Swami wrote, “Dealing with China today means enjoying being slapped, kicked and laughed at by China. Sadly today such is the degradation of national self respect by slaves representing Bharat Mata.”
In another tweet, Swamy asked, “Nothing about land grabbing of member nations by other members of BRICS? Koi aaya nahin koi gaya nahin syndrome?”
Afghanistan will be discussed in BRICS?
The 13th BRICS conference will be held under the chairmanship of India in a digital way. This is the second time that Prime Minister Modi will preside over the BRICS summit. Earlier in 2016, he had presided over the Goa Conference. According to the Foreign Ministry, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro will also attend the meeting. China has indicated that the latest situation in Afghanistan can be discussed at the BRICS summit. The dragon has openly supported the Taliban and established diplomatic relations.
