At the same time, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis condemned the attack on Smriti Irani’s convoy and targeted the state government. He said, Every day, they are taking law into their own hands and doing illegal acts. If the workers of the ruling party in Maharashtra started doing such things, then it is clear that there is no law and order in Maharashtra. The attack on Smriti Irani is cowardly. We can also give a tit-for-tat response. But we believe in democracy. We are giving an opportunity to the police. But if the police doesn’t take appropriate action, we too will have to give a tit-for-tat response. I am warning the police.”

In fact, when BJP was in opposition, BJP used to protest against inflation during the UPA government and Smriti Irani was seen in most of the protests. Now the women workers of NCP and Congress had come to protest in front of Smriti Irani on the rising inflation under Modi government.

On the other hand, NCP workers have accused BJP workers of beating them up. NCP workers allege that BJP workers have assaulted a woman NCP worker.
